Ryanair flight delay claim

If you have suffered a disruption with Ryanair since 26th July 2016, the below applies to you.

On the 26th July 2016, Ryanair amended their Terms of Carriage to include the following clause:

Passengers must submit claims directly to Ryanair and allow Ryanair 28 days or such time as prescribed by applicable law (whichever is the lesser) to respond directly to them before engaging third parties to claim on their behalf’.

If you booked your flight following the 26th July 2016 then you have agreed to this term as such, you should contact Ryanair directly to obtain their position of liability. Please click here to view our guide on submitting your claim to Ryanair.

About Ryanair

Ryanair is the Irish low-cost airlines that has dominated the short haul flight sector. Flying to a number of regional and European destinations. Love them or hate them they are very rarely beaten on price. Run by the flamboyant Michael OLeary whos contempt for passengers is well documented the airline focuses on flying into regional airports close to large cities. Its definition of close is debatable with some airports being up to 80 miles from the city they claim to serve.

Baggage charges and allowances seem to change on a monthly basis as do penalties for forgotten tickets and misspelt names. Ryanair makes more money from "additional services" such as baggage, seat allocation and priority boarding than it does from the flights themselves.

Every effort made by the airline to make it more "customer friendly" is usually outdone in subsequent months by a new charge. Standing seats and £1 to use the toilets are recent innovations touted by the airline to generate more income from its long suffering passengers.
